Get a driver's license - what you need to race

Many boys have dreamed of becoming a professional race car driver since childhood. Karting has been very popular for many years and anyone who wants to and who knows how to hold the steering wheel in their hands can drive this minimobile, but in order to become a real race car driver, you should go through a whole special training course.

Firstly, only experienced drivers can enter motorsport. In an ordinary driving school, you will be taught the most necessary basics, taking into account the rules of the road, that is, you are unlikely to be able to drive at speeds above 60 km / h, not to mention speeds above 150 km / h. But category “B” driving license is a must.

Secondly, after obtaining the rights, you need to go to additional courses in emergency training or driving skills. Usually they can be located at local DOSAAF or motorsport federations. They are not cheap, but you will learn how to drive a car at high speeds, avoid different situations on the roads, perform various exercises and tricks.

A very important factor is that the way of driving at high speeds depends on weather conditions, so you need to devote at least a year to training in order to be able to ride on wet, dry and icy roads.

Thirdly, you need to get permission to participate in competitions, that is, a license. It is clear that if you come to the club with the desire to become a race car driver, you will only be accepted for free if you are really a talent. And no one will let you ruin a sports car just like that.

To obtain a race car driver's license to participate in competitions, you need to provide a whole bunch of documents:

• passport indicating the place of registration or permanent residence;
• medical clearance - a certificate confirming that you do not have any contraindications for health (poor eyesight, heart problems, are not registered with a narcological dispensary, etc.);
• a completed application and a medical questionnaire;
• photo 3 by 4.

If we are talking about youth competitions, then a notarized permission from the parents is also required for riders under 18 years old. And to participate in international competitions, you need to provide a detachment and an application with a list of your merits and recommendations from the coach.

Consideration of the application is carried out in the RAF - the Russian auto federation or its branch in your area, 5 days are given for consideration.
