Bjorn Nyland had the opportunity to test the Porsche Taycan 4S and was surprised how good this car is. When accelerating in Sport Plus, he associated it with the Tesla Model S "Raven" with Ludicrous Mode on, but found no Tesla equivalent when it comes to dynamic driving sensations. And we are talking about the cheapest and weakest version of the car:

The important information comes right from the start: Nyland is another driver who feels gear changes at around 100 km/h in normal mode. In Sport Plus mode, it didn't signal this, in line with Porsche's earlier assurances that shift times (and engine load) would depend on the selected driving mode.

When youtuber is into car acceleration, the meters are worth paying attention to. When he drives away from the charging station, the car shows a range of 300 kilometers. After several stronger accelerations and after driving 4 km, the car shows only about 278 (?) kilometers of run, which is 20 kilometers less!

Later, the range decreased more slowly, after more than 18 kilometers 6 percent of the batteries disappeared, the consumption was 27,9 kWh / 100 km (279 Wh / km), the predicted range was 262 kilometers. This suggests that ranges calculated in accordance with EPA procedure refer rather to Sport Plus mode with maximum underfoot power - because the driver did not spare the car, and the energy decreased relatively slowly.

Acceleration reminded Nyland of the most powerful Tesla, but driving stability could not be matched by any car from the Californian manufacturer. In his opinion, the matter was in the modified chassis, and the Porsche suspension, which successfully suppresses all bumps, was both comfortable and sporty.

Porsche doesn't have a Supercharger network, so he figured he'd take a Tesla for the ride, but he'd prefer the Taycan for city driving, which he liked a lot. Minuses? Each correctly pronounced manufacturer's name ("Porsz") included a voice assistant awaiting command. In addition, the car does not have an autopilot, and software updates so far require a "connection to a computer".
