The new Triumph 675cc Street Triple will launch in Austria on June 30th and arrive in Australian showrooms in November, but there is no local release date for the 2.3-litre Rocket III touring version.

The Street Triple is architecturally and stylistically based on the 1050 cc Speed Triple Street Fighter with a detuned version of the Daytona 675 Supersport engine.

It will cost $11,990, which is significantly cheaper than Daytona ($14,890) and Speed Triple ($15,990).

The touring version of the 2.3-liter Rocket III will have a new body, suspension and chassis.

It has fixed saddlebags, front glass, a reshaped fuel tank, and a single headlight rather than dual Rocket headlights.

Suspension changes include a right-up fork, new rear shocks to handle the extra weight of the panniers and passenger, and new wheels.

The frame is lengthened at the front and has extra bracing to give it stiffness to handle the extra weight.

The current Rocket III is $24,990 and the Classic is $25,990.
