Fuses Lifan x60
Content
In recent years, the purchase of Chinese cars has become commonplace among the Russian automotive community. The brightest representative of the automobile industry of the Celestial Empire is Lifan.
Naturally, the cars of this manufacturer are inexpensive among their classes, but it is worth noting that they are quite well made. In any case, breakdowns in such a complex mechanism cannot be avoided.
As a rule, various electrical appliances that simply stop working are the first to suffer. Most often, this phenomenon occurs due to problems with the fuse box (PSU) or its individual elements. It is not surprising that the first event in the repair of electrical equipment of any car is to see this unit.
Fuse box: device and causes of breakdowns
The fuse box of the Lifan car, or rather, several of these devices, are the main protection of the entire electrical system of the car. This device contains fuses (PF) and relays.
The first elements are the main protectors of the electrical circuit of this device (headlights, windshield washer, wiper, etc.). Its principle of operation is based on de-energizing your circuit by melting a fuse.
This is necessary in cases where there is a problem in the electrical system, which consists of cables and a certain device. It should be understood that, for example, a short circuit can lead to an open ignition, which is extremely dangerous for the driver and passengers.
PCBs have a lower burnout current rating than the same wiring or device, which is why they are so effective.
Relays, in turn, serve to neutralize potential problems that may arise with a short-term increase in the current strength in the circuit. For the convenience of repairing Lifan, all protective elements of electrical equipment are assembled into several blocks.
The most common problem that occurs with a fuse box is a burnt circuit board or relay. This error can be caused by several reasons:
- failure of an electronic device or the unit itself;
- short circuit wiring;
- improper repair;
- for a long time to exceed the permissible current strength in the circuit;
- temporary wear;
- manufacturing defect.
A blown fuse or a faulty relay must be replaced, as the safety of your car depends largely on its normal operation. It should be understood that sometimes replacing a block element may not work. In such cases, you will have to fix the problem in another section of the electrical circuit.
PSU repair
The assembly methods for all Lifan cars are very similar, so you can consider repairing the fuse box using some models as an example. In our case it will be X60 and Solano.”
As a rule, Lifan cars have two or three power supplies. Device locations are as follows:
- The engine compartment of the PP is located in the engine compartment just above the battery, representing a "black box". The fuses are accessed by opening the cover by pressing its latches.
- The software cabin block is located under the dashboard, in front of the driver's seat, to the left of the steering wheel. To carry out repair activities, it is necessary to disassemble part of the “tidy”, as well as open the cover.
- The smaller Lifan block is also located in the cabin, behind the small change box and contains only one relay. You can access it by removing the box.
When repairing any of your vehicle's fuse boxes, the following guidelines must be observed:
- Before starting work, turn off the entire electrical system of the machine by turning off the engine, turning the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnecting the battery terminals.
- Carefully disassemble all plastic parts, as they are very easy to damage.
- Replace the fuse with a completely identical element, that is, with the same current rating as your Lifan model.
- After the repair is completed, do not forget to return the entire structure to its original state.
Important! Never exchange a printed circuit board for a more expensive item or wire/clamp. Such manipulations make the ignition of the car a matter of time.
If, after replacing the fuse, the electrical appliance did not work for a long time and almost immediately broke down, it is worth looking for a problem in another node of the electrical circuit and fixing it. Otherwise, the device will not work properly.
Layout of fuses in Lifan cars
Of course, for each Lifan model, the location of the PP on the block will be different. It can be found on the cover removed from the device and the fuse rating on its socket. PP circuits in the blocks of the Solano and X60 models are shown below.

In general, in order to successfully repair the Lifan fuse box, it will be enough for the car owner to have basic car repair skills and use all the above material. The main thing when carrying out repair work is the observance of all safety measures and accuracy.

Spring is coming, which means you need to prepare your cars With the onset of spring, the car must be checked by various nodes that have been subjected to increased loads in the cold season.
Experts advise not only to change tires, but also to check the battery, engine and suspension.
After the harsh Russian winters, when the engines refuse to start from time to time, the wipers constantly freeze to the windshield, and the wheels slip in the snow, with the arrival of sunny spring weather, drivers sigh calmly, believing that the worst has already happened to them already behind them.
Experts advise to properly prepare the car for spring operation, otherwise the consequences of winter driving can be unpredictable, in winter the car body suffers more. However, the consequences of exposure to moisture and reagents appear only in the spring - scratches clogged with dirt and salt on the body begin to rust.
Therefore, when the snow melts and the frost recedes, the first step is to thoroughly wash the car, including the bottom, as well as the interior and trunk. All damage to the paintwork should be treated with anti-corrosion agents, if necessary, tint the chips.
Many drivers do not pay due attention to the battery, believing that if it does not fail in the winter, then it is not worth waiting for a dirty trick in the spring.
In fact, the battery experiences heavy loads in winter due to difficult starting of the engine, constant operation of the stove, etc.
Therefore, the battery may detect the spring is not sufficiently charged, and its further operation in this state will greatly reduce the life of the device.
Therefore, it is recommended to recharge the battery if necessary, even if its power is already sufficient to start the engine. It is also worth inspecting the battery terminals for oxidation.
Preparing a car for spring involves a visual inspection of the engine. In the cold season, the temperature under the hood of a car ranges from -30 to +95 degrees, which can render plastic and rubber parts of the engine and other units unusable. This causes loss of tightness of the connections and, as a result, leakage of antifreeze and oil.
Of course, the details of the brake system of the car should be checked for leaks. If the brake hoses are cracked, they must be replaced. It is also worth checking the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
Seasonal diagnostics of suspension parts will not be superfluous, including checking the configuration of steering rods, the condition of shock absorbers and silent blocks, CV joints, etc. If gaps or cracks are found on the surface of the rubber elements of the parts, they must be replaced with new ones.
All movable suspension joints need preventive lubrication.
Often after winter, play appears in the steering wheel, and the car begins to move away from rectilinear movement at high speed; in this case it is necessary to adjust the convergence.
You can prepare the air conditioner for the next season in advance by cleaning the system, replacing the filter and refilling with freon if necessary!
How are the fuses located in the passenger compartment
It's worth knowing where the items are, and they're located at the bottom of the glove box.

When you may need to replace fuses
In case of malfunctions, such as the absence of light in the headlights, the failure of electrical equipment, it is worth checking the fuse. And if it burned out, it should be replaced.
Please note that the new element must be identical to the burnt component.
To do this, first of all, to ensure the safety of the work performed, the battery terminals are disconnected, the ignition is turned off, the fuse box is opened and removed with plastic tweezers, after which the operability is checked.
There are many reasons why this part, although small in size, is very important, since fuses protect all systems, blocks and mechanisms from serious damage.
After all, the first blow falls on them. And, if one of them burns out, this can lead to an increase in the current load on the electric motor.
Therefore, in order to avoid such situations, they must be replaced in time.
If the value is less than a valid element, then it won't do its job and will end quickly. This can also happen if it is not well attached to the nest. A burnt element in one of the blocks can cause an increased load on the other and lead to its malfunction.
What to do if there is no confidence in its serviceability
If you are not sure about the fuse, it is better to play it safe and replace it with a new one. But both must completely match in marking and face value.
Important! Specialists warn against the use of larger fuses or any other improvised means. This can result in serious damage and costly repairs.
Sometimes situations arise when a recently reinstalled element immediately burns out. In this case, the help of specialists at the service station will be required to fix the problem of the entire electrical system.
As a result, it must be said that the Lifan Solano car has an attractive and discreet design, a variety of equipment, and most importantly, low cost.
The interior of the car is very cozy and comfortable, so the driver and passengers will never feel tired.
The car is equipped with all sorts of bells and whistles, devices, which greatly facilitates its operation.
Good care, timely replacement of fuses will protect against sudden breakdowns. And, if the dipped or main beam suddenly disappears, the electrical equipment stops working, it is urgent to check the condition of the fuse in order to prevent the failure of any important key element.
Fog lights not working
All of a sudden I dreamed that ALL the fog lights weren't working! No headlights, no taillights; (The situation is as follows: the backlight of the PTF buttons is on, but the headlights themselves are not on. I climbed to look at the fuse - it burned out. I put in a new one, hmm, naively, did it burn out too much?
without fuse and relay
The relay works very well. Like new, I thought the problem might be in the buttons, but until I started smoking, I just climbed up to look at them:
I thought the block of buttons would also go under the bumper and remove the PTF. It turned out that the fasteners were unscrewed from the inside, and the light bulb was dangling, but there was no stub.
I didn’t think about it anymore, I took off the second headlight. And now, TA-DAMM! found shorter. The positive cable may have been pinched during assembly. At first the headlights were on, but now they are not. Insulation recovery and short circuit.
a cut
cut closer I cut the positive wires from the "mother" of both headlights. I inserted 2 thermotubes into the problem area and crimped the "mothers" in a new way.
lighthouse ready
the other still does not have a connector. The ground contact of both headlights began to oxidize. I cleaned and lubricated with protective grease, put back the assembled headlights, inserted a new fuse, turned it on, they work! both front and back!
on the way, put the clamp on the harness of the right headlight. For some reason, it is longer than the left one and hangs down.
optional but desirable collar, takes 2,5 hours and 2 fuses.

The cost of the mounting block with original fuses for the Lifan X60 car is 5500 rubles, analogues from 4200 rubles. The price of relay switches is from 550 rubles / piece.
Reasons for the failure of the fuses on the Lifan X60
- Delay in vehicle inspection intervals;
- Purchase of non-original components;
- Failure to comply with the installation technology;
- Deformation, damage to the mounting block;
- Short circuit in wiring Lifan X60;
- Damage to the insulating layer of power cables;
- Loose contacts on the terminals, oxidation.
Replacing fuses with Lifan X60
At the preparatory stage, we check the presence of:
- A set of new modules, relay switches;
- Flat head screwdrivers;
- Plastic clips for removing modules from the seat;
- Additional lighting.
The sequence of actions when replacing in the engine compartment:
- We install the car on the platform, fix the rear row of wheels with blocks, tighten the parking brake;
- We turn off the engine, open the hood, on the right side of the compartment, behind the battery, there is a mounting block;
- Open the plastic cover, use tweezers to remove the module by serial number;
- We insert a new one in place of the defective element, close the box.
We carry out preventive work after completely disconnecting the car battery power terminals.
Installing new fuses in the cabin:
- Open the front doors on the driver's side. To the left of the steering column at the bottom is a mounting block with fuses. The top is covered with a plastic lid;
- Remove the cover, use tweezers to remove the module by serial number;
- We insert a new fuse in the usual place, close the lid.
Relay switches last longer than fuses and need to be replaced less often. Very often - after an accident, collision, deformation of the body, displacement of the geometry of the structure.
After long trips through puddles, auto repair experts recommend checking the engine bay mount for moisture. Dry, blow with air as needed. Avoid formation, accumulation of condensate in the housing. Avoid direct exposure to UV rays.
Buy spare parts, other consumables at certified points of sale, official representative offices, dealers.
The average service life of fuses, relays - switches in Lifan is 60 thousand km.
Fuses and relays
Checking and replacing the fuse
If the headlights or other electrical equipment in the car do not work, you need to check the fuse. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same rating.
Turn off the ignition and all related equipment, then use tweezers to remove the fuse you think is blown to check.
If you cannot determine if a fuse is blown or not, replace any fuses that you think may have blown.
If a fuse of the required rating is not available, install a slightly smaller fuse. However, in this case, it may burn out again, so install a fuse of a suitable rating as soon as possible.
Always keep a set of spare fuses in your vehicle.
If you replaced the fuse, but it immediately blew, then there is a malfunction in the electrical system. Please contact an authorized Lifan dealer as soon as possible.
Attention It is strictly forbidden to use a larger fuse or improvised means instead of a fuse. Otherwise, it may cause serious damage to the vehicle.
