Additives to gasoline
Most vehicle regulations prohibit mixing motor fuel with additive chemicals.
In fact, it is not known what composition is contained in these products.
The information on the packaging shows that they "improve" gasoline by reducing the amount impurities deposited in the engine, cleaning the combustion chamber from carbon deposits and preventing corrosion. Some manufacturers even advertise their products as an anti-ice agent in gasoline.
It should be emphasized that motor fuels are complex mixtures of petroleum hydrocarbons with other chemical compounds and it is practically impossible to study the reaction of fuel with ingredients of commercially available improvers.
Preparations that improve the properties of gasoline cannot be used during the warranty period and on all vehicles with modern power units.
