Tesla Software 2020.48.26 / No-goat bleat holiday update outside of America. Instead of Santa Claus and other changes.

How easy it is to get used to gifts ... Tesla buyers outside of the N American continent are complaining that they haven't received the Boombox module that lets you customize goat bleats, farting, or your own horn sounds. It looks like this feature is only available in the US (and Canada?).

No goat, there's Santa Claus in the sleigh, new animations, and extensive Supercharger markings.

According to the first statement of Elon Musk, Boombox is only available in Tesla with AVAS system., that is, an additional loudspeaker that emits sounds to alert passers-by. However, it looks like even the versions with the additional Boombox speaker won't make it to Europe. You can see this primarily in the photo below:

Tesla Model 3 production with the AVAS system started in September 2019. It is unclear whether such copies made it to Europe at all.

Santa Claus in a sleigh pulled by reindeer

No boombox, but St. Santa Claus, who disappeared sometime in early 2018. Let's remind: it was presented by the Christmas update at the end of 2017. Santa Mode This made it possible to turn the visualization of the car into a sleigh pulled by reindeer, on which, of course, our saint was sitting.

Santa's new mode is epic 😂

Ранее Santa Mode was activated by the voice command "Ho-ho-ho!" or using the gadget tray. We don't know if the old method works now. If that works, it's worth keeping in mind, because the same trick will be used to disable Santa Claus mode when it's springtime outside.

Animation and more accurate marking of blowers

In the interface, it was decided to use different aspect ratios when splitting the screen. The section on the car, its speed, visualization and driving mode has become wider, which slightly shifted navigation to the right. The car has animations of spinning wheels, raised sashes or windows, which we wrote about earlier.

From the point of view of people who travel long distances, it may be important to change the markings of the blowers. Now shows on a pin the number of empty spaces, and if the blower is full, the pin will turn gray and the clock symbol will appear on it informing about the need to wait in the queue (source):

Editor's note: By the way - I wonder how long the clock will be marked with a circle with two dashes in the middle, since today the vast majority of devices display the time in AB:XY format (for example, 22:23) . 🙂

Update 2020/12/28, hours. 13.02: we have corrected the proposal for AVAS in European Tesla. It is unclear whether this system has penetrated Europe at all.
