Rage S1: Sunn Electric Mountain Bike Chooses Brose Motor

The Sunn Rage S2017, the one-of-a-kind electric mountain bike in the Sunn lineup in 1 year, is powered by a Brose motor and delivers up to 80 kilometers of battery life.

Sunn Rage S27.5 with 1-inch wheels and semi-rigid frame is the only electric mountain bike offered by the French manufacturer in 2017.

With regard to the electrical part, the choice of the manufacturer is focused on the German equipment manufacturers. Thus, the Sunn electric mountain bike requires Brose to have a motorized part with a motor directly integrated into the crank system and capable of delivering a maximum torque of up to 90 Nm.

In terms of batteries, Sunn turned to German equipment manufacturer BMZ and offers two battery packs to choose from:

  • 36 V - 11 Ah with 410 Wh power and rated autonomy from 50 to 70 km
  • Declared 36 V - 15 Ah, capacity 588 Wh and autonomy from 60 to 80 km.

As for the price, calculate the starting price at 2399 euros.
