Ram is back to once again introduce the new Ram 1500 EV, and it's very different from anything on the market.

Ram continues to push forward with the development of its first electric pickup, and while it's still a long way off, some of its features can already be seen. The brand has shared a preview of the front of the electric car and it looks completely modern and elegant and also shows light even in the logo.

To keep up with Ford and Chevy, which have already introduced full-size electric pickups, Ram is working on launching its own. Although the Ram is a bit late to the party, it offers unique features like a combustion range extender that is definitely different. Regardless, Ram has shared a quick look at the front of his upcoming electric pickup, and while it's hard to see the dark details, there's a lot of work to be done given the backlit accents on the front.

Elegant and exclusive facade

This vague silhouette shows what is likely the emblem and headlights in caliber . The headlights are sleek and unique to an electric model, and the grille logo is huge and clearly illuminated. We're already used to seeing those heavily lit fronts as that's what really sets the F-150 Lightning apart from the road.

This view does not show the Ram's LED eyebrow as it did in previous renders; instead, there are gaps in each headlight, and they don't meet in the middle either. However, the Ram appears to have some kind of pseudo-double roof, which is interesting.

Ram has not yet set a date for the arrival of the 1500 EV.

There is no word yet on when exactly he will debut, although Ram has said it will be in 2024. No one knows the specs yet, but if you watch the trailer, you'll see a photo of the bare chassis. with a large battery occupying the central part. It also shows off a new wheel design, though Ram has clearly blacked out most of them, which appears to be some sort of chunky five-spoke design.

There is reason to believe that the battery-powered Ram could be powered by the STLA Frame platform that Stellantis announced some time ago for its full-size electric vehicles. This is yet to be seen, but it should be noted; Right now, the Ram 1500 rides on a frame, but with coil-spring rear suspension instead of more traditional leaf springs. The truck can have a fully independent rear suspension like its Ford competitor.

Ram will have to pay attention to the range of its electric car.

Of course, Ram has yet to release any information about the battery. However, you'll need a maximum range of at least 300 miles if the Ram wants to compete with (314 miles), (320 miles), or (400 miles claimed). This may not be a problem if you have a full combustion engine designed to increase range.

Needless to say, it's exciting to see another electric pickup truck in the works. Truck lovers need a way to haul, tow and explore off-road without burning fossil fuels, and the Big Three give them just that. The question is, when will this be transferred to /-ton and -ton trucks?
