Extended test: Audi A1 1.2 TFSI Attraction

design

In bright red in with silver bows at the edge of the roof, the phenomenon competes with the main competitor, Mini... It is recognizable, unusual and at the same time very Audi. Especially from the front, which made the cars in front of us retreat on the highway, as if an A4 was driving behind them (at least).

production

Undoubtedly one area that partially justifies the Audi's price tag. Switches, plastic, door handles, seats ... No comments... We accept the possibility that the torn lanyard holding the shelf over the boot is due to negligence or urgency on the part of a member of the test team.

engine

Milky sound aside, the little turbo is commendable. The city offers enough torque in the surrounding area 2.000 rpmbut on the open road he does not resist the pursuit. The average consumption is appropriate compared to ours, the legs are rather heavy in most cases.

'Feeling'

Small Audič in full production version offers half of the racing fun, for which in the same small cars you have to pay extra for cuts like RS, ST, S… Superb steering and a sportier-than-comfortable chassis are a reason to rejoice on a winding road. For this…

... Comfort suffers

Yeah, here we are. Firmly installed shock absorbers transfer shock from every slightly larger crack in the road into the cab. Although, by some miracle, neither of the two drivers even grumbled about the discomfort ?! There is still criticism front seat backswhich do not stay folded forward, which is quite inconvenient when we want to fold shopping bags on the back bench or, even worse, install a child seat.

City

Attention! Despite the small external dimensions (at least in the initial kilometers) Audi is not the easiest parkingbecause the driver cannot see the edges of the car at the wheel because of the "bloated" body shape. That certainly doesn't justify a close collision with a fire extinguisher in a garage house, and the taillights and some of the sheet metal next to it are shattered as a result. They are under renovation Porsche Slovenia it took two days and was billed to the insurance company for 742 euros (the last right light costs 219 euros).
