Extended Test: Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC 4WD Elegance

Otherwise, I'm not a car enthusiast who would dream at night about the many buttons, switches and similar innovations that I encounter in recent cars. Some even have a hybrid drive, which I can also select at the push of a button. The latest technology is digital fittings, the appearance of which I can also customize to my liking. I expect at least some of this to be flashing, announcing and jingling on motorcycles in a few years - I'm still more interested in them. Well, that's why it's really interesting to drive different cars. It enriches the senses and broadens one's horizons.

Flashing and flashing

The Honda CR-V is in a class that is becoming (no, already becoming) more and more popular. All major brands are represented in the off-road range, so the battle for bread is quite hard and worth the effort. When I look at this (updated) Hondo, it seems a bit sturdy to me - in its own Japanese style. He just can't hide his East Asian genes. If the front end with slanted headlights (which is now a very good norm in this segment) is still liked, I cannot say the same for the rear end with large headlights, which is stylistically rather bulky and “heavy”. . The interior is spacious and voluminously luxurious, a special chapter is the driver assistance tools, which took time to get used to and decide on the mode of operation. But once you master the logic of the system, things become easier.

Driven practicality

The ride is boringly predictable and therefore exciting. I didn't have the feeling that the unit was too weak or that it lacked something, but it's true that I rode alone, without much load. Everything was in place with the aforementioned learned logic needed for a smooth ride. But I was wondering who would be the typical buyer of this Honda. I don't know why, but it always crossed my mind - my neighbor's butcher. The machine is big enough, practical, uncomplicated and a bit sturdy to fit the profile of a butcher. Um, am I wrong?
