Extended Test: Vespa GTS 300 Seigiorni // Vespa as a Retro SUV

Off-road Vespa, are you kidding? Not only that, they raced Vespas even at the most difficult Paris-Dakar rally in the world, and more precisely in 1980, Ivan Chernyavsky raced Vespa P200E. But the Seigiorni model we used in extended testing is a tribute to another old race, the legendary ISDE Sixdays enduro race.

Scooters are usually introduced or used for commuting or city business - with the exception of maxi scooters, which can adequately replace a motorcycle even on long trips and excursions, but are therefore less maneuverable in city crowds. So the 300 cubic foot Vespas seems like the perfect compromise. Still practically small and with enough space under the seat, az 20 good cavalrymen, good suspension and brakes are completely sovereign on any road and just nothing gets in the way even on the highway.

In terms of car construction, the GTS has a "rear end" and no rigid (motorcycle) frame, a surprisingly quiet and pleasant position between corners and allows effortless and risk-free descending on slopes where the parking foot sparkles in the (left) corner. CVT and ABS transmission make sure we don't do anything that prevents us from enjoying and enjoying the ride. Ladies will appreciate being able to ride around in skirts and heels, and there's plenty of room for "luggage" under the seat for everyone. If we are looking for a functional recreational vehicle instead of road speed records, this vespa is a very good answer.

Verzia Six days so it's special. The most obvious changes from the base model are the positioning of the headlights on the front fender and windshield protection. The color is matte green and the seat is single but homologated for two and provides an even more enjoyable ride for two. Sei giorni or Six Days means of course the legendary ISDT race in which they also raced Vespas very successfully in the early XNUMXs. And this is a tribute to the version of that time and a guarantee that with this model you will feel not only sporty, but also carefree, and with a smile on your face you will also be able to go outside the city.
