The Energy model is characterized by extended service life, high starting ability, low water consumption and reliable starting at low temperatures.

The Start model is distinguished by good starting capabilities and high operational reliability. It uses high quality polyethylene envelope separators. It is not expensive.

The Top model, also produced with calcium-calcium technology, is recommended for use in vehicles that require a lot of electricity, such as starting many times in a short time. Better starting qualities are the result of using more boards, and a longer life is achieved thanks to the so-called extended exhaust grate technology. The battery has a charge indicator and explosion protection.

EcoDry is made with AGM technology, which means the electrolyte is inside glass wool. This allows the gases to recombine and prevents electrolyte leakage. According to experts, this battery guarantees a large number of charge and discharge cycles. It is small and easy to carry around. These batteries are especially useful in special purpose vehicles: wheelchairs, ambulances, taxis, police cars.

TAB Polska experts advise drivers – Where to buy a battery?

The parameters of the purchased battery are usually selected by drivers based on previously used ones. Problems start when it contains old and unreadable data, or incorrect parameters were previously used.

A good place to buy is where sellers can provide comprehensive information about the right app. It is also desirable to have a full range of batteries available at the point of sale to avoid the need for compromise applications. In a word - buy a battery only from a good seller.

Currently, those retail chains that are able to handle complaints relatively painlessly enjoy a good reputation. The number of legitimate complaints is within 1%, the rest is caused by faulty work. Differences in the failure of different brands are insignificant and amount to a fraction of a percent. The complaint problem is different and arises from the proportion of complaints related to manufacturing defects in relation to the complaints received.

malfunction. This proportion is about 1:12. It can be clearly stated that for every 120 batteries sold, 0 pieces are sent to the claims service, of which XNUMX pieces are considered a factory defect.

Practical questions and answersSection: Batteries - Topla - you can trust these batteries

Is it possible to charge a connected battery directly in the car without taking it out and disconnecting the car clamps?

Only one clip can be removed. If there is a computer in the car, the shutdown of which would require calling a service to encode it, you should not do it yourself. It is best to come to the factory, where they will remove the battery with backup voltage. The instructions for the car should contain a description of the reprogramming of the ECU in case of resetting its parameters after disconnecting the battery. Please note that when the battery is disconnected, the central locking locks the doors, so do not leave the keys in the ignition.

I have a battery with a lower initial value and it wears out faster when driving around the city. I drive short distances, the radio is almost always on, heated seats. All this means that in five years I have replaced two batteries. Any advice on this?

I think you are choosing the wrong batteries, or a problem with the starter, maybe the generator. I advise you to check. Current consumers can also discharge the battery. It depends on the amount of current that is consumed per unit of time and, of course, when the engine is not running. Contact an electrician or, better, a specialized workshop. The cost is lower than battery replacement.

Does the battery charge less when driving in cold weather?

The electrolyte also has a lower temperature at low temperatures. When it is very cold, lead sulfate crystals fall out of solution and settle on the plates. The density of the electrolyte also increases and sulfation increases. Loading is more difficult. The most favorable temperature for charging the battery is between 30 and 40 degrees.

How about connecting cables when borrowing electricity? I always have problems with this.

The rule is simple. Do not connect both cables at the same time as a short circuit may occur. If the minus was connected to ground, start by connecting the positive wire from the starting battery to the charged one. Then the minus from the booster is connected to the ground in the starter. High-quality cables with flexible insulation should be used, which is important at low air temperatures. Be careful not to remove the battery clamps while the engine is running. This can be fatal to the car's electronics.
