Is the real power reserve of the Peugeot e-2008 only 240 kilometers?

While YouTube is full of Peugeot e-2008 "reviews", few people have settled on one of the most important measurements - checking the car's mileage. But the published figures are not very comforting. It seems that on one charge the car can travel from 200 to 250 kilometers.

The Peugeot e-2008 is a crossover in the B-SUV segment that shares the same battery and drivetrain as the Peugeot e-208 or Opel Corsa-e. This is a completely new platform that has not been used anywhere else. Therefore, it is not entirely clear what to expect from the final version of the car.

The manufacturer declares that the total battery capacity e-2008 is 50 kWh, which should be more or less expressed 47 kWh net power. The declared range of Peugeot e-2008 is 320 WLTP units known as “kilometers”. This should be translated to 270 kilometers of real range... This is where the problem begins.

There are a lot of reviews of an electric car on YouTube, but almost all of them - although they drive a car and have a declared range, and maybe even energy consumption - cite the manufacturer's data. Exceptions:

• quickcarreview reports 240 kilometers of predicted range with a fully charged battery,
• the meter in the "Electric" record shows only 180 kilometers with the battery charged to about 96 percent, which gives less than 190 kilometers of range; in the summary, however, we will hear that the range is about 240-260 kilometers,

• in the movie Autogefuehl you can see about 230 kilometers right after the start; driving more heavily on hilly terrain, the car consumed 35 kWh/100 km (350 Wh/km) – no final value given.

The figure "180 kilometers" appears in several other films, it looks like it is the exact same blue model filmed at the same event. According to Autogefuehl, it is sunny outside, but the temperature is not high, a few degrees Celsius.

We couldn't find a clear dimension, but it looks like According to the estimates of the editorial staff of www.elektrowoz.pl, about 270 kilometers of the Peugeot e-2008 can be an upbeat value in good weather and a calm ride. When the temperature drops a little and movement becomes normal, the range, even with a heat pump, will be more likely 220-240 kilometers.

Of course, there can still be 270 or more kilometers in the city.
