The Battery Life channel tested the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S range, a variant with a 77 (82) kWh battery and four seats in the cabin, which will cost from PLN 179 in Poland. The test was carried out at a GPS speed of 990 km / h, meaning the cruise control was set to 130 km / h.

In Poland, only a version with a 58 (62) kWh battery is available. They should not be confused.

Highway coverage VW ID.3 Pro S

It was 16 degrees outside. In theory, the entire test should be done at 133 km / h, but the operator found that he had slowed down due to road works and other situations. As always: this is more an experiment called "I try to stay at 130 km / h" than "I constantly go 130 km / h."

The wheels were 18-inch with winter tires. The former unambiguously increased the range, the latter could decrease it. The test vehicle is a Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S. z 77 (82) kWh battery, with engine o power 150 kW (204 km) i torque 310 Nm control of the rear wheels weighing 1,93 tons without a driver (gross weight - 2,28 tons). According to WLTP, its range is 549 units:

The car has traveled 181 kilometers when the battery is 50 percent discharged. Around this moment, the voice assistant worked - whoever watched other records with VW ID.3 knows that he likes such pranks.

When the battery level dropped to 14 percent, the youtuber decided to slow down permanently to about 120 km / h, so from our point of view, the test was completed. Automobile traveled 307 km at 2:34 p.m. average consumption 20,8 kWh / 100 km (208 Wh / km) i average speed 119 km / h (calculations show 119,6 km / h).

It gives it 357 km of motorways when the battery is discharged to zero and 250 kilometers when driving with a cycle of 80-> 10 percent.

Thus, if we assume that we leave the house with a fully charged battery, we can cover 557 kilometers at a speed of "try to keep 130 km / h" and one stop to recharge. This is the route Jelenia Góra - Mielno, with a large power reserve. Or almost Lublin-Rozeve. How much energy we save in and around Warsaw, as well as traffic jams starting in Rumia, should be enough for us to cover the last section of the route.

We can also estimate that, since the car travels 357 kilometers with the sign "I try to keep 130 km / h", then when driving in the suburbs, calmness, with "I try to keep 90-100 km / h", the Volkswagen ID.3's 77 kWh range should be 510 kilometers..
