Each of us knows exactly how it happens - we return from work, there are no ideas, no energy for a two-course dinner, hunger torments us, and other hungry people are waiting at home. What can be cooked in 30 minutes?

Every family has its own fast food patents. However, over time, they get bored and we need changes. I have prepared a list of what works for my home, where adults, people and children, carnivores and vegetarians live.

How to quickly cook noodles for dinner? 

Pasta is a great invention of mankind and, probably, all poor eaters like it. How to do it quickly? In one pot, cook your favorite pasta according to package directions. Prepare side dishes in a skillet. At its simplest, Lemon Spaghetti is the perfect quick veggie dinner.

Quick and Easy Pasta with Lemon for Dinner - Recipe

Composition:

  • Xnumx Pasta
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup parmesan / grated amber cheese

Squeeze lemon juice into a pan, add olive oil, butter and cheese. When the pasta is al dente (or soft because some kids prefer it soft), add 3/4 cup of the water the pasta was cooked in to the pan and stir everything together. Drain the pasta, put it in a saucepan and mix thoroughly. Put on plates. We can sprinkle with cheese or freshly ground pepper. It goes well with pieces of smoked salmon, slices of avocado. However, the lemon pasta itself is also great and nutritious.

Quick Pasta Casserole Recipe

Composition:

  • 500 g ribbon/tube type pasta
  • a spoonful of butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 pack philadelphia cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour
  • 140 g smoked ham
  • 3 mushrooms / 200 g frozen peas
  • 120 g gray cheddar

Pasta casserole is also a quick dinner option. Prepare 500g of band or tube type pasta according to package directions. While the pasta is cooking, prepare a baking dish and grease it with butter.

 In a bowl, mix 1 cup of milk with 1 pack of Philadelphia cream cheese (you can use cheese with herbs), 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of wheat flour, 140 g of smoked ham cut into pieces (you can also use pork from dinner), 3 chopped mushrooms or 200 g of frozen peas and 120 g grated cheddar cheese. Add 1/4 cup of the water in which the pasta was boiled so that the mass is not too thick. Drain the pasta and mix it into the contents of the bowl. Put in a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

How to quickly cook fish for dinner? 

Simple fish in foil - recipe

Composition:

  • 1 whole fish / 2 boneless fillets per person
  • 2-3 orange/lemon slices
  • Pinch of salt
  • Garnish: rosemary/parsley
  • Possibly: carrots/green peas

The easiest fish patent is to bake it in foil. The boneless fillets are the easiest to make because they are easier to eat and easier to coax the smallest households, but we can also opt for a whole fish, which definitely adds a different depth of flavor. Simply place the fish on a piece of aluminum foil, sprinkle with salt, top with 2-3 orange or lemon slices, and add your favorite herbs like rosemary or parsley. If desired, chopped carrots and green pea pods can also be added to the fish. We wrap everything and bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Boiled rice can be served with fish (boil rice in a ratio of 1: 2, i.e. add 1 glasses of water to 2 cup of rice, cook over low heat until the rice absorbs all the water and becomes soft.

How to quickly cook porridge or rice? 

Rice and cereals cannot be cooked faster without a pressure cooker. However, you can cook them in advance and do exactly what our grandmothers did. If we don't have time to cook rice and porridge just before dinner, we can cook them in the morning, wrap the pot in a cloth, then wrap it in a blanket and leave. After a few hours, rice and cereals will become loose and warm.

Usually barley, buckwheat, pearl barley, millet, bulgur and rice are cooked in a ratio of 1:2. The exception is rice for sushi, paella, risotto, which requires more liquid and cannot be prepared in advance without compromising the final taste of the dish. If we really don't have time, we can make couscous. It is enough to pour it into a bowl and pour boiling water so that the water protrudes about 1 cm above the level of the cereal. Cover the bowl for a few minutes and then loosen the grits with a fork.

How to make quick pizza at home? 

You usually have to wait a long time for pizza. This is exactly the case with Neapolitan pizza. If you want to make a quick pizza at home, there are a few tricks you need to know.

First, we don't focus on dough proofing. Secondly, if you want to cook pizza with a crispy bottom in the oven, you must first use a well-heated pan, on which we put the rolled crust. It's a little labor intensive, but it also has a good side: we can cook small portions of pizza with different toppings and not argue about who has more. Parents will definitely understand how important this is.

Homemade pizza for dinner - recipe

Composition:

  • 50 g of fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 glass of warm water
  • 3 cups plain flour / pizza flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional side dishes (tomatoes/cheese/mushrooms/ham)

Knead the dough until it becomes elastic and uniform. We're preparing the sauce. Mix 250ml tomato passata with 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon dried oregano. Prepare side dishes: cut 2 balls of mozzarella into thin slices, cut into pieces your favorite side dishes: ham, salami, mushrooms, etc.

 Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Divide the dough into 6 pieces. From each roll out a thin cake the size of a pan. Fry it in a dry, well-heated pan until golden brown. We transfer it to a plate. Brush with sauce and add toppings. We put in the oven for 5-7 minutes and cook another pizza during this time.

Attention! We only spread sauce on pizza when we have a slow oven and can bake it right away. If we let the pizza stand with the sauce on top, our efforts to bake the dough will go to waste and the pizza will turn into a soft bun. If there is no time at all, 2 large pizza sheets will come out of this portion.

How to cook a quick vegetable dinner? 

Homemade burritos - recipe

  • Pack of wheat cakes
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tomatoes
  • cheddar cheese / vegan cheese
  • 1 bean jar
  • 1 teaspoon chili
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander

The best quick vegetable lunch is a burrito. We will need wheat tortillas, avocado, tomatoes, cheddar cheese or vegan equivalent, 1 can of beans in tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon chili, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander. Heat the beans with spices in a saucepan. Put the cake in a dry pan, sprinkle with grated cheese and wait until the cheese melts. We lay out the remaining ingredients, roll up and enjoy its taste. Simple, fast and delicious.

 In the vegetarian version, eggs can be added to the tortilla. Crush them with a little cumin and salt and fry until tender.

How to cook quick meatballs for dinner? 

Want to eat chops for dinner or something? We can make nuggets the fastest. I recommend making them in advance and freezing - then preparing an emergency dinner will take up to 10 minutes.

Composition:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs

Cut the chicken fillet into pieces, sprinkle with salt and sweet pepper. Crack the eggs into one bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour flour into the second, and breadcrumbs into the third. Dredge each piece of chicken separately in flour and discard any excess. Dip it in the egg and get rid of its excess. Roll it in breadcrumbs so that they completely cover the chicken. Repeat until the ingredients run out.

How to freeze breaded chicken?

Place the baked chicken in a flat plastic container or on a flat plastic tray greased with oil. Arrange the chicken pieces so that they do not touch each other. We put in the freezer. After 6 hours, put the pieces in a bag suitable for storing frozen food. Cooking these nuggets is worth it, because this is a great emergency dinner.
