Mounting block of fuses and relays MAZ

The MAZ fuse and relay mounting block contains devices responsible for the safety and performance of the vehicle's electrical equipment. About the role of fuses and relays in the complex, and separately about the location of devices in the MAZ vehicle assembly, read in the following article.

Functions of fuses and relays in a MAZ car

An important role in the electrical system of the MAZ car is played by fuses - small-sized elements that do not affect the operation of the car's systems, but in the event of a malfunction, they are simply necessary to prevent the failure of the car's electrical components.

Relays and fuses in a car vary in location, strength, and appearance. Its main function is to ensure the normal operation of the car's electrical circuit. With significant voltage drops, they take on the main "shock" and, burning out, prevent the failure of more expensive electrical components.

To facilitate maintenance, check and condition monitoring, replacement of failed fuses on a MAZ vehicle (as well as on other vehicles), they are combined in one MAZ fuse and relay mounting block. The block contains information with inscriptions explaining the purpose of a particular fuse or relay, as well as indicating the required resistance rating of the device.

Placement and meaning of fuses and relays

All safety devices in the MAZ car, which are responsible for the normal operation of electrical equipment, are located in three blocks.

block 111.3722

In the first block there are fuses for 30 and 60A (one each):

• 60A - main fuse;

• 30A - a device responsible for the supply of autonomous heating, pre-heating of technical devices.

The main purpose of the main safety device is to protect the generator and battery from reverse polarity of the elements and to prevent short circuit and its negative consequences when starting the engine from the power source. Almost all consumers of electricity in the car are powered from it, except for the alarm, which is connected directly to the battery. All electrical consumers connected to the generator have separate safety devices.

Only the following units operate without safety devices:

• a winding of disconnection of weight;

• starter relay;

• headlight switch;

• instrument shutdown and automatic winding.

Safety block 23.3722

In the second block there are 6A fuses in the amount of 21 pieces. Almost every fuse has its own designation, which helps to determine which electrical equipment it is responsible for:

• 127 — speedometer, voltage indicator, speed control device;

• Fuse responsible for sound signals;

• 57 — brake signals;

• 90 - the work of the washer and wipers;

• 120 — wheel and axle locks, tow bar lights, reversing lights;

• 162 — heated mirrors;

• Power supply of the onboard control system;

• P51 - is responsible for instrument illumination;

• 55 - fog lights fuse;

• Kch.52 — side lights fuse on the right side;

• Г.52 — marker lights fuse on the left side;

• F.56 — lamp on the left (dipped beam);

• Zh.56 — lamp on the right (dipped beam);

• 53 - fuse for additional high beam;

• K.54 — lamp on the right (high beam);

• Z.54 - lamp on the left (high beam);

• G.80 - heater fan fuse;

• Zh.79 - alarm actuation;

• K.78 - fuse responsible for direction indicators;

• С.31 - safety device for indicators of protection of the head and control lamps;

• 50 - Fog lights fuse (rear).

This block also contains eleven relays, each of which is responsible for the operation of certain electrical equipment. They are designated by the letter "K" and a number (for example, K3):

Safety block PR112

This block contains a 16A fuse (technical equipment and reserve), as well as nine 8A fuses:

• Valve - fuse for the cooling system fan clutch;

• G.172 - body lighting;

• Czech crowns. 179 - operation of fuel heaters;

• R.171 - timer and radio;

• G.59 - car lighting safety device;

• 3,131 — refrigerator, emergency lamp holder, pneumatic signal;

• To book;

• C.133 - air dryer protection device;

• O.161 - engine stop valve fuse.
