The traditional "engine rebuild", sometimes referred to as "engine overhaul", is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

The technology for the production of modern engines and, above all, the pricing policy of manufacturers of spare parts for engines determines that a possible repair of a BMW engine is disproportionately more expensive than replacing an entire engine.

It is cheaper to replace the engine with a used or new one than with a series of problems. For example, if replacement of rings or cylinder liners is required, if honing stones have become unusable, if grinding or replacement of the crankshaft is required.

The repair time depends on the type of damage and how it was repaired. The shortest time for a complete engine replacement is usually 2 business days (depending on the type and model of your vehicle). In case of replacement, the time may increase up to 3-5 days, since it is necessary to disassemble the old engine and mount a new one.
