Roush Nitemare F-150 burns rubber

Trucks must not accelerate to 60 mph in less than four seconds. They are bulky and built for towing, not breaking freeways at breakneck speeds. Anyway, it used to be like that, and then Roush came along and got his hands on the Ford F-150.

Dubbed the Nitemare F-150, the race-ready truck costs $20,000. The company claims it can hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds if that's what you want your truck to do.

Overall, the Nitemare update comes with a Roush supercharger, 22-inch black wheels, Roush graphics, a lowering kit and an all-new exhaust system. And just to make sure you're making a sound investment, you'll get a three-year, 36,000 mile warranty to keep it in top shape.

To prove how fast the Nitemare is, Rusch brought in a team of experts to try it out, including Aaron Kaufman, Robb Holland and Justin Pawlak. They tested two versions of the truck, one with SuperCrew and one without. SuperCrew accelerated to 60 km / h in 4.1 seconds. The regular Nitemare did it in 3.9 seconds. But how much torque does it have for towing?
