IAC VAZ 2114: replacement and part price

IAC is an idle speed controller that is installed on all injection engines of VAZ 2114 cars. This so-called sensor ensures that the idle speed of the engine is at the same level and does not fluctuate. The normal speed of rotation of the crankshaft is about 880 rpm. If you notice that when idling, the engine starts to work unstably: failures appear, or vice versa - the engine revs itself, then with a high probability you need to look in the direction of the IAC.

The procedure for replacing a regulator with a VAZ 2114 is not as complicated as it might seem at first glance, and for this you need a short Phillips screwdriver.

The procedure for replacing the IAC with a VAZ 2114:

First you need to disconnect the minus terminal from the battery. Then we disconnect the plug with power wires from the IAC, as shown in the photo below:

If you do not know where this detail is, then I will try to explain. It is located at the back of the throttle assembly. After the block of wires is disconnected, it is necessary to unscrew the two bolts with which the IAC is attached to the throttle assembly:

After that, the sensor should be removed without any problems, since nothing else holds it. As a result, after removing this part, clearly everything looks like this:

The price of IAC for a VAZ 2114 car and other models of injection VAZs is about 350-400 rubles, so even in case of replacement, you will not have to spend too much money. After replacement, we install in the reverse order.
