SC - Stability Control

Stability Control (SC) is the acronym that Porsche uses to refer to the Stability Control (ESP) installed on its vehicles.

The SC system adjusts lateral dynamics. Sensors continuously measure the vehicle's direction, speed, yaw and lateral acceleration. From these values, PSM calculates the actual direction of the vehicle on the road. If this deviates from the optimal trajectory, stability control intervenes in targeted actions, braking individual wheels and stabilizing the vehicle in extreme dynamic driving situations.
