SCBS is a new road safety system that can reduce the risk of a rear or pedestrian collision.

SCBS - Smart City Brake Support

When driving at speeds between 4 and 30 km / h, a laser sensor located on the windshield can detect a vehicle or an obstacle in front of it. At this point, the electronic control unit, which controls the actuators, automatically reduces the brake pedal travel to speed up the braking operation. If the driver does not take any action to prevent a collision, such as activating the brake or steering, the SCBS will automatically apply the brakes and at the same time reduce the engine power. Thus, when the difference in speed between the car you are driving and the car in front is less than 30 km / h, SBCS helps to avoid collisions or reduce damage due to rear-end collisions at low speeds, which, we recall, are among the most common accidents.
