This penalty is not imposed only if the driver is a student and he is accompanied by an instructor who has the appropriate category.

As you can see, driving without a license category is quite dangerous, and not only for the wallet, but also for life, since the principles of driving a passenger bus or truck with a trailer heavier than 750 kg are significantly different from driving a small minibus or a car with a light trailer.

In order for these fines not to affect you, you need to complete training courses and pass exams to obtain an additional category.

It is also worth noting that some drivers still mistakenly believe that having, for example, category “C” or “D”, they can drive a passenger car without problems, but this is not so, and the traffic rules say very clearly about this - category the rights must correspond to the vehicle, and you will not be able to prove anything to the inspector in the event of a stop. Despite your long experience as a trucker or school bus driver, you will have to suffer a well-deserved punishment.

You can switch from a higher to a lower category only if you have CE rights - a freight transport over 7500 kg with a trailer heavier than 750 kg, and you drive a vehicle of category C1E - a freight transport weighing from 3500 to 7500 with a trailer.
