Seat Ibiza Sportcoupe 1.4 16V

You won't notice a difference between the two at the front, but from the side (apart from a couple of smaller doors) the most noticeable difference is the roof, which now starts to drop earlier and slightly lower at the rear. for easier access to the rear seats), the rear bumper is slightly different (the SC is just under two centimeters shorter than the five-door Ibiza, and the trunk is at least eight liters smaller), the rear doors are more closed, and the glass is completely different and flatter. The taillights are also different.

Since the door is larger and the front seats fold down and move forward (thanks to the optional Easy Entry system), there are no major problems with accessing the rear seats (even for those who need small children in the rear seats), more headaches will be caused by the ISOFIX seat. ...

The case was obviously politician-planned (I would have written a fool, but this word, as our lecturer says, I use too often in editorials), since the seat belt buckle with which you fasten the child is located between the two ISOFIX anchorages that hold the seat ...

Fortunately, the flexible seat belt buckle holder is long enough to be fastened with some violence and curses in most seats, so that the belt can be fastened (it would be difficult and uncomfortable otherwise, but still). However, it is doubtful how things will turn out in the event of a collision. ...

That the Seatians didn't really care when designing the safety equipment for the Ibiza SC is also clear, because the car has neither ESP (which should always be standard!) Nor curtain airbags (to which the same applies). In short, it is extremely scarce and one can only advise from the purchase of such a car.

We could write that both are easily paid, but that is not the case - the supplement for both is too expensive, almost 650 euros in total, which is definitely too much.

The 1 liter engine is great in this Ibiza. A power of 4 kilowatts or 63 "horsepower" sounds quite small on paper, but it likes to spin, it has a pleasant (albeit slightly too loud) sound, the consumption is not excessive, it is worth noting that it is very asthmatic on the other hand, on At low revs, the electronic throttle pedal is quite aggressive, so elegantly calm riding at speeds below 85 rpm is quite a demanding thing.

Instead of a five-speed manual gearbox, a six-speed manual gearbox would be more appropriate, not because of the acceleration, but only because the engine rpm will be lower at higher speeds (highway) and thus noise and consumption are reduced.

To make the driver feel comfortable behind the wheel, this is already known from the five-door Ibiza (too high seating position for some), the same goes for the rear space (enough for families with small children) and the trunk (284 liters). a little on paper, but enough for everyday use).

A quick glance at the price list gives hope that such an Ibiza SC is very affordable (1.4 Style costs a decent 12K), but with the addition of safety equipment, such a Stylance equipment package as the test Ibiza SC (steering wheel and gear lever) is dressed in leather. armrest ..), light wheels and metallic paint, the price quickly jumps to 14 thousand. ...

  • The Ibiza SC is for those who want an equally useful, seemingly sportier version of the Ibiza. Just take a look at the price list, so as not to deceive you: for safe equipment, you have to add almost 700 euros to every price on it!
