Skoda Octavia breaks another speed record - 365 km/h!

Last Friday, August 19, Skoda Octavia RS officially became the fastest car in the world in the class of supercharged cars up to two liters.

Built to celebrate the 600th anniversary of the RS logo, the 10-horsepower "car" was registered by the Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) as the vehicle that recorded a speed of 365,434 km on the legendary salt lake in Bonneville, Utah, USA. / h

The record was officially set after the Octavia drove through the famous five-mile stretch of Bonneville twice at speeds of over 350 km/h. On Thursday, August 18, it was 362,85 km / h, and the next day another attempt - 367,89 km / h.

Robert Hazelwood, head of Skoda UK, said: “This is an amazing achievement. Our goal was to break the 325 km/h mark to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the first model in the RS family. We have succeeded in making the Skoda brand a world record holder.”
