Porsche has leased its fleet, including the 911.

From the iconic 911 to the wicked green Taycan, Porsche rents out some of its most famous nameplates in Melbourne. But, perhaps unsurprisingly, it will cost you more than a standard rental.

Called Porsche Drive Rental, this service is supported by Porsche and is already available in several international markets.

However, this "pilot program" is being offered to Australian Porsche fans for the first time and will be launched, at least initially, exclusively in the Melbourne market.

“Porsche Drive Rental is the latest example of how we bring innovative products to the Australian market,” says Porsche Australia CEO Daniel Schmollinger. "This pilot program in Melbourne will give us tremendous insight into how we will develop this offering in Australia in the coming years."

There's also no SUV in sight, as Porsche instead opted to put the 911, Boxster and Cayman in the rental fleet, giving fans the chance to drive one of them for a fraction of each car's purchase price.

However, part of a large number is still a significant amount, as each of them cost the bulk of $1000 to get you the owner - for at least 24 hours.

Porsche has also been a little nice with prices. The 911 Carrera 4S, for example, retails for $911 a day, which is nonetheless a bargain when you consider that car's list price of $296,700.

Its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine develops 331 kW and 530 Nm of power, delivering an incredible 100-3.6 mph time of just XNUMX seconds.

Also available is a 257kW 718 Boxster S for, you guessed it, $718 a day.

Finally, the 390kW, 640Nm Porsche Taycan 4S costs $899 per day, allowing customers to experience the brand's all-electric vehicle at their convenience and on their routes.
