Polaris 500 scrambler

The Scrambler exhibits a double face in almost every area. The shape is sharp, aggressive, with a fiery pattern on the nose and thighs. It is powered by a 500 cubic meter four-stroke engine that sends power to the rear pair of wheels through an automatic transmission (continuously), and the front pair can also be engaged if required. This is not a very common combination with this type of ATV. These sports usually only have rear-wheel drive and a classic-shift gearbox (like a motorcycle).

Thus, mechanically, the Scrambler is closer to ATVs, which are usually designed for work rather than pleasure (this applies to the US and Canada, which are the largest markets). In fact, to get a real ATV, he only needs a gearbox. But this, probably, would have been too much for his sports soul. The Scrambler is the most fun and rewarding when the driver demands sportiness from it. On gravel roads and country roads, he glides confidently around corners, but even serious obstacles do not frighten him. Climbing over rocks, ditches, and fallen logs is easy, and the front-wheel drive was only used in extremely slippery conditions (mud, slipping rocks). But it was also fun when we wanted pranks. Motocross jumping, riding on rear wheels. . Without any hesitation, Polaris did not disappoint us. Every time it landed securely on the ground without groaning about the chassis that handles the sport dampers well.

But racing on the field was not the only place where we had fun. Since he has a license plate on his back, this means that he can drive in traffic, on the road and in the city. At the very least, we found it to be incredibly attractive to traffic participants. We also had a kind look from pretty girls, which did not bother us at all. When we talk about driving on asphalt, there are a few more things to note. On wet roads, the Scrambler becomes dangerous for the inexperienced driver, as its stopping distance increases significantly (the reason lies in the rough off-road tires). Therefore, some caution will not be superfluous. For all fans of drifting after the rain, it will be the craziest. With less grip, the rear end becomes very light and restless. All we can add is just to remind you to wear a motorcycle helmet on your head.
