Indicators inform the driver about the operation of various components and systems of the vehicle. You should always keep an eye on them.

The dashboard of a modern car is simply littered with various controls. The higher the class of the car, the more more. This is because larger, more expensive vehicles have more different systems and layouts, almost all of which have a warning light. There are three basic rules to keep in mind when observing beacons. The first says that the most important controls are concentrated in front of the driver's eyes. Most often it is located next to the speedometer and tachometer mounted above the steering column. In vehicles with a central installation of indicators, an additional, separate panel with indicators is also located in front of the driver. The second important rule is the red or orange color of the lights, signaling dangerous situations or a malfunction of important vehicle components. The orange lights can also signal the activation of certain systems or flash while they are running. The third rule is more specific and relates to one specific moment in the operation of the car - starting.

Many drivers tend to start immediately after starting the engine. Meanwhile, the journey should be started only when the health indicators of important components go out. Inserting the key and turning on the ignition is the moment of diagnosing the performance of individual components and systems. The result of such diagnostics may be the detection of errors in the operation of the engine or chassis electronic systems. Even one important indicator, still on, should prompt the driver to give up driving. At least temporarily, until the user checks in the owner's manual or service whether he can drive with a specific malfunction. This is due to the fact that one thing is too low oil pressure, which can damage the engine and absolutely excludes the possibility of driving, and another thing is too weak a battery charge, which is allowed to drive.

In vehicles with diesel engines, it is very important, for example, to wait until the glow plug indicator stops working. Its extinction means that the air in the combustion chambers of the engine is warmed up to the appropriate temperature and the engine starts easily. Engaging the starter while the glow plugs are running can make starting difficult. In many cars, a car start system is already installed, but not with a key, but with a special button. In this case, the commissioning process will be initiated after the completion of component and system diagnostics.
