Sports Cars - Top 5 Ferraris - Sports Cars

Difficult where to choose when it gets in the way Ferrari... Someone lucky shopper has the opportunity to buy them all, while someone else is forced to count in his pocket before 488 GTB and F12 Berlinetta. Unfortunately, I don't have these problems, but there is one problem. How can I rank the 5 best Ferraris in the world? In fact, this is not possible. Not so much because 5 is really too small, but because it is impossible to establish absolute criteria for making a decision. Performance? Line? History? Reliability? Price? No, I think there is only one best way to pick a Ferrari: the heart. The Ferrari world is based on this.

So this rating is inevitably a personal rating, one of what I consider to be the best Ferraris ever. I had to exclude a few of them, and I was very hesitant, but in the end I made my choice.

5 - Ferrari 430

The only modern Ferrari on my list is F430. Why she and not 458? First of all, for the line, which, in my opinion, combines elegance and sportiness, like several other Ferraris in history. The 458 is too boxy on the outside and too much spaceship on the inside, the result of a stylistic path taken by the House that I never fully appreciated. There F430 not only is it balanced in aesthetics, it's also as powerful (490 hp might be enough), light in any situation, but angry when you want it. This is the first real Ferrari for every day. This is the first red I would buy if I could.

4 - F355

There is a note at about 8.500 rpm that gives me goosebumps every time. Sharp, melodic, rude. IN V8 Ferrari always had a beautiful voice, but the voice F355 this is special. IN 3,5 liters 380 hp has 5 valves per cylinder, and the difference in music compared to the 4-valve (like the F430) is audible. But the F355 is more than just an engine. This car is hard to drive and not as fast as you might think. But it's wonderful. Yellow, blue or red - it has a timeless line. The proportions are almost perfect.

3 - Red head

La Ferrari Testarossa it is perhaps one of the most iconic Ferraris in the collective imagination. If it didn't already exist, you would call it LaFerrari. Pininfarina's works make a wonderful sound, 12-liter V5,0 Boxer he not only knows a thousand notes and nuances, but also showed himself well in 1984. 390 hp; enough to let it hit 290 km / h. But what I admire most about the Testarossa is its proportions: it's so short and wide, with hollow and muscular sides that exude malice. Not to mention the black radiator grille, retractable headlights and a curved engine hood. Awesome.

2 – 550 Maranello

It should be remembered that in Maranello they are capable not only of making mid-engined Berlinets, but also of sensational grand tours. I think you will agree with me if I say that Ferrari 550 Maranello this is probably one of the best GTs of all time. The hood is long, very long, 12-liter 5,5-horsepower V485 cwith an Oscar-winning soundtrack and a classic, clean and modern interior.

In 1996, its line was futuristic, think it was the first Ferrari with a front-engined V12 after many years (the 550 replaced the 512 TR, an evolution of the Testarossa), and still retains its charm today.

1 – Ferrari F40

God, keep it there regina... Lay next to F40 any modern supercar and she can still slap her in the face. Obviously, the lap time on the ring will take a few seconds (if you can complete the lap on your own skin), but emotionally, there is no car that can take it. Where to start ... Here, with the engine. IN V8 2.9-liter twin-turbo it is a symbol of the eighties: a plant producing noise up to 4.000 rpm until two turbines start blowing and 478 CV to aim for the horizon. Lively and very low, with such a sloping and thin nose that it seems as if you want to dig the asphalt. But the fixed-wing rear with four round headlights is my favorite detail. I have no doubt: she is the best Ferrari in the world.
