What is the range of an electric scooter? How long does the battery take to charge?

The vision of a long charge deters many people from buying. Nothing could be more wrong. An electric scooter for adults is charged in about 4 hours. The battery can be removed frequently, so you can recharge it even at work. How often will you need to do this? A lot depends on which car you choose, but most scooters have a range of around 80-100 km on a single charge. Usually this distance is enough to go to work and back several times. An electric scooter needs to be charged regularly and you should keep this in mind, but it's not that hard.

If you want to drive an electric scooter, you will need a valid driver's license.. However, what you need depends on the homologation of the vehicle. Did you turn 18 before 2013? If so, you will be able to drive 1200W, 1400W and 1800W motors without any additional permissions. Otherwise, you will need an AM driver's license, which you can apply for after age 16. Electric scooters are not just for adults. Also on the market there are offers of children's scooters costing about 100 euros, however, it should be noted that this type of scooter is not intended for use on the roads. However, your child can learn to drive on specially prepared tracks. When he turns 16, getting an AM driver's license will be much easier.

The electric scooter is a safe vehicle that is still more often rented than bought. However, the savings that it guarantees during operation may push you to buy it. Prices may not be very affordable, but in the long run the big expense can pay off.
