Super73 R: California electric moped begins deliveries

Introduced earlier this year, a small electric moped from the California-based Super73 has just begun its first shipments to the US market. In Europe, it is announced from 2899 €, deliveries will begin in the summer.

Halfway between motorcycles and e-bikes, the Super73 R series was introduced in January. Deliveries were originally scheduled to begin this spring, but the schedule was eventually pushed back several months due to the Covid-19 epidemic. 

Powered by a 2000 W electric motor, the Super73 R delivers a top speed of 32 km / h. The battery, consisting of 21700 lithium-ion cells, is integrated directly into the frame. Its power is 960 Wh, the manufacturer claims that the maximum flight range is 120 kilometers.

From 2899 € in Europe

The Super 73 R is not just limited to the US market, it is also offered in the European market, where it starts at € 2.899 on pre-order instead of € 3.399 at regular times.

Approved in the electric bike category, it can also be sold with an off-road kit, which allows it to increase its maximum power to 1200W. The second option is also offered. Dubbed the Super73 RX, it stands out for its connected features, allowing the user to connect the car to their bike via a mobile app that is compatible with iOS and Android. A more upscale version, this version was sold by pre-order at a price of 3.699 euros instead of 4.199 euros. 

The Super73 R series, already available to order, will begin deliveries to the old continent from summer 2020.
