Tacita introduced an electric motorcycle with ... a manual transmission
The Tacita T-Cruise Urban is a new motorcycle from the Italian company Tacita. So far, the manufacturer has equipped its two-wheelers with internal combustion engines, now it has opted for a purely electric drive. But in order not to scare customers away, the engineers from Tacity fitted the model with a 5-speed (!) Gearbox.
The five-speed gearbox in the motorcycle is designed to reduce overheating of the drive and reduce energy consumption, which will translate into a greater range for road travel or more torque where it is needed. You can also guess that the owner of the motorcycle will have a sense of greater power over the vehicle.
The Tacita T-Cruise Urban can be equipped with a liquid-cooled system batteries with a capacity of 9 Or 18 kWhwhich you want to offer accordingly 112 i 220 kilometers range before the motorcycle enters energy-saving mode. Let us add, however, that the manufacturer determined the ranges using his own procedure, so the real values may be different. As a rule, they are lower.
The motorcycle can be equipped with an engine of power 11 кВт (15KM), 27 кВт (37KM), 34 кВт (46 KM) or 44 кВт (60 hp) offering a maximum of 100 Nm of torque - the latter variant is only available when paired with an 18 kWh battery. Price the weakest version with 9 kWh batteries starts from 11 euros, which is the equivalent of PLN 52,5 thousand. The wording in the price list is unclear, so we are not sure if it is a net price or a gross price:
The motorcycle carries the model designation "2020" and has just been offered. You can sign up for it on the manufacturer's website, the booking fee is 1 euros. Production is expected to start within a few months.
