Maintenance and care of cabinet scrapers
When scraping becomes hard work, it is a sign that the scraper needs sharpening. To learn more about sharpening scrapers, see How to sharpen... pages for different types of cabinet scrapers.
After each use, be sure to wipe the scraper with a clean cloth to remove excess material and oil.
Keep them in a safe place to avoid damage.
Cabinet scrapers can be repaired if they are damaged: for example, if the cutting edge is chipped, they can be cured by grinding. If the scraper is bent or cracked beyond repair, it should be replaced.
If the blade of the two-handed cabinet scraper is damaged, it can be replaced as they are sold separately. |
