Tesla Model X “Raven”: 90 and 120 km/h range test [YouTube]

Bjorn Nyland tested the Tesla Model X in the "Raven" version, that is, released after March 2019. Thanks to the Tesla Model 3 engine on the front axle, the car must travel up to 90 kilometers on a single charge at a speed of ~ 523 km / h. Is this really so? YouTuber checked it out.

The car has been put into “Range Mode,” which limits the A / C power and top speed, which is equivalent to Eco mode in other vehicles. For Nyland, the values offered were enough.

Having covered 93,3 km in 1:02 minutes, it reached 17,7 kWh / 100 km (177 Wh / km). Assuming that the battery capacity available to the driver is 92 kWh, this consumption should be taken into account. covering nearly 520 kilometers... It is almost entirely in line with the values provided by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which www.elektrowoz.pl cites as real ranges:

YouTuber also ran a test at 120 km / h. In this case, the consumption was 22,9 kWh / 100 km (229 Wh / km), which means that when driving slowly on the motorway, the car must travel about 402 km before the battery is completely discharged:

Compared to electric crossovers, the Tesla Model X "Raven" offers almost 100 kilometers more range than the next Nyland Jaguar I-Pace (304 km). Mercedes EQC and Audi e-tron reach less than 300 kilometers, which means that after about 2 hours (~ 240 km) you will have to look for a charging station.

Tesla Model X vs. Audi e-tron

Tesla Model X refers to large cars (E-SUV segment). The only electric car that competes with it in this segment is the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro, which offers 328 kilometers of actual battery range. This is 190 kilometers less, but the price of the Audi e-tron is PLN 70 lower:

However, if we recalculate the cost of buying a car in the number of kilometers that we can cover with it in one charge, w Tesla Model X Long Range costs 1 zloty for 792 kilometers the original price, while in the Audi e-tron it is PLN 1. However, the Audi e-tron has a certain advantage over the Tesla Model X, almost the entire battery can be charged with 060 kW, which can be important on a longer trip.
