MotorTrend has tested the Tesla Model Y Long Range with Jaguar I-Pace, Audi e-tron and another, less important car from our point of view. Conclusion? Tesla Model Y offers options similar or better than the competitors mentioned, and also significantly cheaper.

As the portal journalist teases, although the "slower" Tesla Model Y (D-SUV segment) was chosen, it accelerates to 96 km / h (0-60 mph) in just 1 / 10th of a second longer than the Jaguar I-Pace. (segment D / D-SUV). And a second faster than the Audi e-tron (E-SUV segment). But we have seen this several times already.
It turns out, despite the taller silhouette than the Model 3, the Model Y on the test track isn't much slower. The vehicle received a lateral G-force of 0,75 g (more = better). Just like the Jaguar I-Pace. Better than the Audi e-tron again.
The braking distance from 97 km / h was 36 meters, while the Jaguar I-Pace slowed down by 34 meters, the Audi e-tron took 39 meters.
Tesla also benefits from access to the Supercharger network and online updates that we can only dream of with its competitors.
Minuses? The car seems tough. The manufacturer says it's best with more people in the cabin, but MotorTrend rightly points out that unless a buyer opts for the Performance version, they can expect a little more luxury.
It should feel too cabin noiseand the build quality is the same as that of Tesla, that is, with uneven gaps between the body parts. Autopilotalthough great, it seems unpredictable. For example, you are trying to be late in turns, so you leave them hitting wide in the lines. But, according to the editorial board, he is more in the lead than in the tail of such decisions.
Conclusion? At the current price of the car, the Tesla Model Y is unmatched when it comes to value for money, and also, mainly, when we are just evaluating the possibilities. Other brands, even if they offer similar options, are much more expensive. Only another Tesla can compete with the Tesla Model Y in this price range (source).

The car is not yet available in the Polish configurator. However, based on the prices of the Tesla Model 3, we can estimate that Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD with 74 (80) kWh battery - cheapest model - starts today from about PLN 270... The car should appear on our market when it starts to roll off the assembly lines of the plant near Berlin (Giga Berlin).
