Quiz: Is the Honda CBR 1000 RR even a road bike?

That's because my relationship with the new Fieblade was tense, I wanted her all the time, I dreamed of her, how I would bend her around even when I was doing other things, but at the same time it was crystal clear. to me that this relationship is very dangerous. When you hold it tightly behind the wheel and open the throttle all the way, driving it becomes an insane pleasure, but at the same time, everything becomes intimidating, because the traffic, although very rare on a remote road, far from the city, seems to have stopped in time. Namely, the measurement of time becomes the complete opposite of what we know. It's like setting up your environment to play fast and everyone around you experiences the same moment in veryoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Seven years since the last major overhaul

But if I turn history back a little, it turns out that Honda has seriously rejuvenated its sporting pride too long ago. Yes, we have been waiting for this for a long time and it has been confirmed once again that when Honda leaves us on hold, it prepares something very good. This bike is too good for the road.

Wonderful electronics

But how cars have changed over the years! The thriving segment has been reduced to a minimum. Today it is driven by motorcyclists who love speed and also go to the race track where they can scream under their helmet when the electronics work their magic and you can use the rear tire at full power. However, the other motorcyclists who are destined for such a bike are all those who love such supercars, realize that every time they land on an explosive device, are content only with occasional outbursts of violence on the highway, otherwise they circle most of the time in their favorite places where they along with other motorcyclists admire the latest technological gems of today's motorcycle sport. There is no middle ground in Fireblade: not for two, not for traveling, unless you are a masochist and it does not suit you that everything hurts after driving due to a forced sports stance. To be frank: if you want to survive on the road, you're actually only spending about 25 percent of what a new CBR can actually do.

Also anti-lift control of the rear (!) Wheels when braking

He draws 100 in the first, 160 in the second, and when you get stuck in the third, you are already hitting 200, which means playing Russian roulette in a traffic jam. Today we have a huge number of motorcycles that offer similar sensations, but they are more comfortable, versatile and, above all, do not force the rider to constantly travel around 200 kilometers per hour. Guys, if you are crazy about adrenaline, I suggest doing something else where you will not be dangerous to yourself and others.

Every owner of such a motorcycle must have exceptional endurance to ride off-road. And I can say that even though this is one of the safest supersport bikes out there! CBR 1000 RR is equipped with Drive wheel slip control system HSTC, front wheel lift control system Wheelie Control, rear wheel lift control system when braking Rear lift, and you can also adjust the engine brake before turning. Selectable motor brake. I like the simple operation, but would like even more flexibility when driving. But I understand that Honda doesn't want to risk having the rider set the CBR to full throttle without rear wheel slip control and forget about it when it comes to single laps. Uh, it might not end well.

The CBR 1000 RR is equipped with a very good Cornering ABS anti-lock braking system, and for different driving conditions (city, country roads, race track) there is also a Riding Mode Select System and a choice of power source. Honda says this technology is also used in MotoGP's prestigious RC213V-S.

Do I need all this on the road?

The answer to this common question is simple: yes! All of this works great on the road and, above all, protects. Thanks to its very good suspension and frame, the bike is very stable despite its very compact dimensions, and the electronic steering damper is also of great importance. I was amazed at how well the bikes grip the asphalt, which is extremely important for dynamic riding, and the back and wrist balm for slow city riding as it doesn't cut you every time you ride it. hump or shaft.

Although the stance is sportily forward and the bike is very light, since the dimensions can be put next to the CBR 600 RR, it is not at all that uncomfortable. Forget about traveling for two as soon as possible, in my opinion no one at Honda seriously considered riding the most expensive. After all, driving pleasure is the only real thing when you drive a CBR alone. When transferring power, the electronics work flawlessly, and even when the rear wheel power is too much and the rear wheel slips, it intervenes very quietly. The same applies to steering when driving on the rear wheel.

My only concern was that such a good bike doesn't have a full-throttle shift assistant (Quickshifter). For this price, I could get it! About the remaining 75 percent of the usability of this technological work of art from the Far East, when we can test it where it really is at home ... at the hippodrome.
