Test: Honda NC 750 SA ABS
They say that everything is good for something, and this "k" thing, which we don't want to mention, was useful for the Japanese, who nodded their heads and figured out how to make motorcycles closer to people. After extensive research, the opinions collected were transferred to the NC700SA and NC700X series (a more enduro touring version).
Sales statistics across Europe show that they have satisfied customer desires well. By the 2014 season, the engine capacity has been increased by 75 cubic centimeters due to weight distribution and a good center of gravity. On paper, this may seem like a lot, but it does not significantly change the character of the engine while driving. The NC750SA feels more alive than one marked with an X at the end, but it's still a very laid back, if not “mature” bike for riders who don't tend to stand, growl, and race through city streets and popular corners, but, First of all, they want to drive and accumulate a large number of kilometers.
The ride will be calm, without sports acceleration and adrenaline. We liked the reliability in corners, the feeling of safety and traction as we line up the corners for a smooth, relaxed ride. Then the bike runs great and the engine brings a smile as it prefers to ride with torque. The brakes are not sporty, but they do the job well enough, and although there is only one front disc, ABS that works flawlessly is also very welcome. A comparison with the automotive world came to mind. Driving the NC750SA is similar to driving a Volkswagen Golf with a 1.9 SDI diesel engine without a turbocharger. Anyone looking for sporty styling on this bike will unfortunately not find it, which is why Honda has a variety of other models.
Of course, the price is also an important trump card: for the model with the ABS brake system that we had in the test, it is 6.590 euros, which is a fair price. While it offers a lot of comfort in both the driver and front passenger seats, and with the excellent ingenuity of having a large trunk instead of a fuel tank between the legs where you can store a “jet” helmet, it is a modern smart motorcycle.
