Test: Husqvarna TE 250 TPi (2020) // It lacks power and speed

The fuel-injected Husqvarna TE 250i surprised me very pleasantly and asked if the XNUMXth had dangerous competition? The engine is a real gem, a great combination of power, torque and weight. I rode such a bike last year at the presentation, but not for long, this time I was able to analyze it in more detail.how it behaves in different conditions and in my usual area, where I test enduro motorcycles. The workmanship is impeccable, high quality, using the best components currently available.

The driving position is relaxed and suitable for drivers of all sizes. They conveyed the relationship between pedals, steering wheel and seat well. But the heart of this bike is its 250cc two-stroke engine.. I like this because you can put oil in a separate container and clean gasoline in the tank, and the electronics will create their own and mix the ratio that is suitable for the conditions in which the engine is constantly running. It also makes the exhaust more environmentally friendly.

The engine delivers power for this volume extremely nicely, continuously, without sudden fury when reaching a higher engine speed range. On the field, this means he can ride in third gear on the trails most of the time, where he rides rhythmically and smoothly. The gear ratios are well calculated and you only really need first gear for very steep slopes or when jumping over an obstacle requires all the strength to literally blast over the obstacle.

In the second one, I rode it over very difficult terrain, where there was a lot of climbing and very steep and short slopes. This is where good torque comes in again, pulling the bike uphill with ease from low revs. I was also interested in how 50 cubic centimeters less known than the hugely popular TE 300i. and I admit the 250cc engine. see did not disappoint me. When you open the throttle all the way, it’s no joke, the engine is running and it’s very good.

It turns easily, sings beautifully, and only on really very steep and long descents does it need to be switched from third to second gear. The very nature of the engine is a comfortable fight, less tiring than the XNUMX. Hence I confidently declare that I can drive on technical off-road and winding roads even faster and more accurately.... The bike runs playfully in my hands, very easy and, as an enduro lover, allows me to ride more correctly, accurately and less error while riding.

The frame and suspension work well together. The front and rear suspensions are top-notch, very well tuned for enduro and offer good ratios for technical areas as well as fast gravel or cart tracks. When in third or fourth gear, like a scalpel, you cut through a corner and easily change direction, the TE 250i stunned me.

For a classic enduro, this is an extremely good combination that requires little or no maintenance, as push-pull technology is still extremely simple despite modern solutions and technologies. I think this is enough for most users, but I must not ignore the fact that as a package it is great for teaching proper driving techniques.

Because she impressed me so easily, I also played with her where I usually ride a test bike and rode everything together without any problems. The toy offers first-class pleasures and is not cheap, the regular price is 10.199 euros.

I wonder, with such a good 250cc engine, do I need 300 at all? The engine impressed me, as did the ride quality, which helps me drive the enduro better.
