Grille test: Nissan 370 Z Roadster Premium

For example, the Nissan 370Z Roadster has little to do with being a logical, practical, everyday choice. Actually nothing in common, except for the price. A little more than 50 thousand for such a powerful and equipped roadster is not much. If you don't believe me, take the price lists and start looking for something similar. Does not work. At least not for this money.

But as they say: those who look at cars only through kilograms, euros and “horses” have missed the essence of this car. Namely, driving pleasure, wind in the hair and a smile - that's what it all brings to the face of the driver.

Have you ever wanted to slide around corners? On paper, an automatic transmission isn't exactly a recipe for sportiness, but in fact, the seven-speed classic automatic transmission is quick and decisive enough to make the 370Z Roadster feel sharp and enjoyable to drive. If there was a little hole between second and third gear it would be even better, but the already fixed steering arms and transmission speed make quick turns or shifting from one caliper to another a pleasure (you just have to be careful where you do it, of course). The 370 certainly indicates the size of a six-cylinder engine (just under 3,7 liters), and the 328 horses it can handle isn't a race car, but it's a healthy sporty number that's good enough for sporty driving. 1,6 ton car.

Of course, the pleasure can also be different: with the roof down, with a pleasant but not too loud exhaust sound, during a pleasant cruise along a beautiful road. A precise steering wheel, not too rigid chassis and not quite right wind in the cockpit provide a classic roadster windshield and a smile on the driver's face. Even so, life can be beautiful.

evaluation

  • The 370Z Roadster isn't exactly young in design and origins, but it's still a great example of a sporty, but not overly expensive roadster.
