Specifically, the Nissan ProPilot is an autonomous driving aid that acts as a combination of lane keeping system and radar cruise control and as such does not allow for fully independent driving. Although it works reliably and maintains the vehicle's safe parameters, it requires the driver's attention and alerts them when the hands on the steering wheel are too long. Nothing like that, you say, we have known such systems for a long time. True, but not in this segment, and it's nice to see that the pioneer of this class of car, which is undoubtedly the Qashqai, is regularly updated and allows you to fight on equal terms with fierce competition, which has fallen apart in the meantime. You will have to pay an additional €1.200 for the said ProPilot system, but only if your Qashqai is already equipped with the Safety Shield accessories that are part of the standard equipment of the top two equipment levels.
Otherwise, we have already written a lot about the updated Qasqai. The power plant has also been redesigned, consisting of a 1,6-liter turbodiesel combined with a continuously variable automatic transmission. As a reminder, this is actually a top model and, as such, is undoubtedly the best fit for the said model. The engine satisfies all driving needs, and the gearbox, although it is a system that loves to get on the nerves of drivers with its "idle", is unobtrusive and works well here. If you want all-wheel drive in the Qashqai, you'll have to look for some other drive combination because Nissan doesn't offer it in this one.
Another price? A good 30 thousand is a very reasonable price for a set with such a power plant and so many safety devices. That's for sure, the competition is ahead of it in terms of digitization and infotainment.
