In recent Euro NCAP crash tests, two cars received the maximum five-star rating. The automobile club, which earned such a rating in the tough tests of this organization, has grown to eight cars. Toyota Avensis received the maximum score for frontal and side impact. It was worse when hitting pedestrians - 22 percent. possible points. For a frontal collision, Avensis received 14 points (88% of possible), the car body turned out to be very stable, the risk of leg injuries was reduced thanks to an airbag protecting the driver's knees. Legroom is significantly reduced, but there is no risk of serious injury. The Avensis received a total of 34 points, the highest score among vehicles tested by Euro NCAP.

The Peugeot 807 was the first car in the segment to achieve the highest score in the Euro NCAP tests. The French van was tested last year when it literally touched the maximum mark. This year, he received additional points for the intelligent seat belt reminder.

In a head-on collision, the body of the 807 proved to be very stable, the only caveat being the possibility of knee injuries on the hard parts of the dashboard. There is less legroom for the driver, but not enough to endanger the legs. In a side impact, the van did an excellent job with the maximum score. However, the 807 was weak in pedestrian collisions, scoring just 17 percent. points, which allowed him to be awarded only one star.
