Twinburst: the all-wheel drive electric bike specialist
Will all-wheel drive e-bikes be the next trend? While we introduced BH Bikes BigFoot a few weeks ago, Twinburst is banking on this new technology to break into the market.
“Two-wheeled engines provide us with technical options that enable users to benefit from greater safety, productivity and pleasure.” Twinburst explains on their website.
The power distributed to each wheel is directly controlled by the on-board computer, which calibrates the traction control and at the same time regulates the regenerative capacity of the batteries during the braking phases.
Four models expected in 2016
Twinburst plans to launch a full lineup in 2016, spanning four models, from mountain bikes to hybrid and city bikes:
- BIG JUMP, full suspension two wheel electric mountain bike
- FAST PASSAGE, semi-rigid two-wheeled electric mountain bike
- URBAN, a 2-wheel drive electric city bike dedicated to the city
- TREKK, a 2-wheel drive VTC electric drive designed to tackle all types of terrain.
