Traction +

It is an innovative traction control system that, on the one hand, increases the vehicle's traction on difficult terrain with poor traction; on the other hand, a less expensive solution than a 4x4 drive is confirmed.

Traction +

In detail, the new "Traction +" takes advantage of the advanced equipment found on vehicles equipped with ESP, but its efficiency is not comparable to the simple functionality added to this system. In fact, with the help of special algorithms for monitoring and controlling the brake system, the control unit electronically simulates the behavior of an electromechanical self-locking differential; Optimization of the software and the fact that the action of the forces is carried out through a conventional brake circuit (hence hydraulic action) allows for more progressive intervention compared to traditional systems, with absolutely comparable performance and the advantage of lower weight. In addition, the system is activated by a dedicated button on the dashboard and can be operated up to a speed of 30 km / h.

How it works? in low or no traction conditions on the drive wheel, the system control unit detects slippage, then controls the hydraulic circuit to brake the wheel with less friction, thereby transferring torque to the wheel mounted on the road. high friction surface. This allows the vehicle to be deactivated while maintaining directional stability and control, providing the best possible grip even on the most uneven and slippery road conditions.
