Smart watch for your smartphone

It is said that watches, especially ordinary, inexpensive ones, pass their time, that they are replaced by, for example, cells that not only show the time, but also a lot of other information that the advanced watches of the era just before the cell explosion offered. However, recent developments such as Casio's Bluetooth G-Shock, a Bluetooth v4-enabled smartwatch, show that wristwatches are trying to protect themselves.

With all the characteristics of a rugged sports watch, the new G-Shock aims to meet the needs of today's gadgets. Syncs with iPhone, automatically notifies you of incoming calls, SMS and email.

It is important to use the Bluetooth version called Low Energy in the timer. Thanks to this, the batteries in the watch, working in conjunction with a smartphone for 12 hours a day, will last for two years. For this reason, this Casio model is only for iPhone 4S or 5 owners, because only these models work with the corresponding version of Bluetooth.

Of course, the new G-Shock isn't the only wristwatch that syncs with your phone. Earlier designs include Pebble, which works with both iPhones and Android devices, Sony LiveView, which can download Android apps, for example, and the Meta Watch FRAME, which is also compatible with both iPhone and Android.
