Unique Lotus Evora Sport 410 pays homage to Bond

Lotus celebrates 40 years of the Esprit sports car's legendary role in The spy who loved me - with Roger Moore as James Bond's favorite MI6 agent - with the unique Evora Sport 410, which borrows some of the original's timeless styling cues.

Only one vehicle - based on the existing Evora Sport 410 Lotus - will be made as an homage to the 1977 film in which Bond fought his nemesis Jaws, where 007 escaped damage with his submersible Esprit.

British manufacturer Lotus Exclusive's in-house team responsible for building bespoke cars for customers took inspiration from the Esprit from the film and restyled the Evora to fit.

The front fascia now features a two-tone bumper in the same color, and the carbon fiber tailgate is also partially body-colored to help mimic the look of a liftback.

Inside, links to the classic car can be seen thanks to checkered door and seat inserts.

A black stripe runs along the sports car's waistline, complemented by an Evora badge on the B-pillars, also harking back to the 1977 Esprit styling.

Internal links to the classic car can be seen in the plaid door and seat inserts, in addition to Alcantara red dash stitching and carbon fiber sports seats that lend a more modern feel.

Aside from these exterior and interior cosmetic upgrades, the Evora retains its mid-mounted 3.5-litre supercharged petrol V6 that develops 306kW/420Nm of power and helps it sprint to 0 km/h in just 100 seconds.

The curb weight is just 1280 kg thanks to the use of lightweight carbon fiber on the car's panels, including the front splitter, roof, rear diffuser and rear end.

Revised dampers and a lower ride height also help improve body handling as Lotus engineers sought to take advantage of the sports car's lower curb weight and center of gravity.

This is a beautiful tribute to such an influential Lotus.

Lotus Group boss Jean-Marc Gales said the one-of-a-kind Evora perfectly blends the modern technology of the Sport 410 with classic Esprit styling.

“Many of us remember the impact of the Lotus Esprit when it hit the big screen in The spy who loved me, and we wanted to celebrate with a very special Evora Sport 410,” he said.

"This is the perfect tribute to such an influential Lotus, but it is far from the world in terms of its capabilities and performance."
