"Set the driver's seat heater to three bacons" - or how to control the heating power in Tesla

With the latest update 2019.40.50.x, Tesla allows voice control of many vehicle functions. One of them is heated seats. But it seems that Tesla - in addition to the formalized nomenclature - also allows the use of terms from colloquial speech.

Heated seat for 1, 2 or 3 bacon

In tweets, you can see how the Tesla Model 3 sets the seat heating to its highest level after hearing the command "set the driver's seat to three lard."

Where did the name come from? It turns out that these wavelets, which in many cars mean the power to heat the seat, are also called "snakes" or "bacon". The latter name comes from the shape of properly cooked slices of bacon, which are probably one of the most delicious forms of cooking this meat.

Coming back to the heated seats: we can also set them to low (one bacon) or medium (two bacons). In the video below, you can see how the machine follows the command of the speaker with a slight French accent:

Of course, as our Reader suggests in the comments, it might just be a coincidence... If you omit the word "bacon", the machine will obey too. 🙂
