A museum of two-wheeled vehicles of the communist period has been opened in Borovna. Car enthusiasts will be happy. A private museum of Polish motorcycles and mopeds has been opened in Borovna, Czestochowa district. More than 60 cars from the PRL period are included in the unique collection of Jan Ferenc. From today you can watch them. Ferenc provides them for free, shows them around the museum himself and talks about the history of the automotive industry. - The idea of the museum was born from my great passion for two-wheeled vehicles, - says the owner of the collection. - In the nineties, I visited the motorcycle museum in Svidnik. WSK Motorcycle Museum Opened

The museum includes WSK-i, WFMki, MZki, Junaki, Osy and Komary. They stand in a row in a specially prepared room next to Ferenc's house.

Each motorcycle has its own short history file. It also shows the dates and prices of purchased parts, the number of kilometers traveled, replaced components. - This is not the cheapest hobby, - says Ferenc. - I look for new motorcycles in newspaper ads, I ride them all over the country. . It is not easy. Times have changed, before Yunak, standing uselessly in a peasant barn, could be bought for symbolic zlotys. Motorcycles are really expensive these days.

The museum room built by Ferenc is too cramped. Motorcycles are not visible from all sides. Therefore, Mika-Nów commune rushes to the rescue, having bought a plot of land with two buildings for the museum in Borowno. In one he wants to find 180 meters for the exhibition. However, such repairs are expensive, so you have to wait a bit.

We have several such museums in Poland - incl. in Bialystok, Gdynia, Otrembusy near Warsaw and in Poznań.
