CVT GM VT20E
Content
The GM VT20E CVT was assembled at a joint venture with Fiat in Hungary from 2002 to 2004 and was installed only on certain versions of the Opel Vectra in combination with the 1.8-liter Z18XE engine. Unlike its older brother, this gearbox existed only in the front-wheel drive version.
Other General Motors continuously variable transmissions: VT25E and VT40.

Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of the VT20E variator
This is a very rare box, so we will write about malfunctions by analogy with VT25E
The bulk of the complaints on the forum are related to belt stretching at low mileage.
If the belt is not changed in time, then the cones can be pulled up, and new ones can no longer be found.
Closer to 150 km, there is often a drop in oil pump performance
However, the main problem here is the lack of adequate service and spare parts.
