Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of the VT25E variator
This variator earned a bad reputation and GM quickly abandoned it.
The main complaints of the owners are caused by the stretching of the belt even at low mileage.
And if you miss the replacement of the belt, then the cones may suffer, but you can’t buy them new
After 150 km, you may experience a drop in oil pump performance
But the main problem of the box is the lack of normal service and spare parts.
