Honda's MENA stepless variator was produced at an enterprise in Japan from 1998 to 2001 and was installed on the front-wheel drive version of the HR-V, and the META box was installed on the all-wheel drive version. After restyling the crossover, similar variators appeared under the SENA and SETA indices.
The Multimatic series also includes: SE5A, SPOA, SLYA and SWRA.

Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of the MENA variator
With regular oil and filter changes, the box quietly serves up to 200 km
Then the owners buy a contract variator and it is cheaper than any repair
Infrequent maintenance leads to rapid wear of the belt, and after it the pulleys
Closer to 100 - 150 thousand km, bearings may hum, starting from the input shaft
The weak points of the transmission include its supports and not the most reliable electrician
