The ZF CFT30 or Ecotronic variator was produced from 2004 to 2007 at a plant in Batavia, USA and was installed on a number of Ford models, as well as Mercury for the American car market. The transmission is designed for engines up to 3.0 liters, so the drive here is in the form of a pull chain.

Transmission reliability is low, as they put it on large and powerful models
